Our History:

Cheyenne is the capital city of Wyoming. It is a historical town that sits on the Union Pacific Railroad. November of 1867 the first tracks where laid followed by the first train. July 25 1868 the US create the Territory of Wyoming.
In 1867 the US Army a Fort in the area which would be the beginnings for the United States Air Force Base that was created in 1949.
Cheyenne is also known for having lead the nation in granting the act that first allowed woment to vote in December of 1869.
We are proud of our strong roots that has helped build this nation and we celebrate in many ways.

CFD

Cheyenne Frontier Days started in 1897 and is dubbed 'The Daddy of 'Em All'. The rodeo started as a gathering to test a cowboy's enduance and became so popular it is growning in size even today. It is always held the last full week of July and lasts 10 days.
The event holds headlining bands, rodeo events, parades, pancake breakfasts, and a week long fair with all the food you could eat. We are proud to hold the world's largest ourtdoor rodeo and sure make a party of it. To learn more see the offical CFD website
